I have just about completed my Warmoth/Allparts Jazz build. The last decision is which headstock decal to use. I made my own design. I did one version with all black lettering and one that is black with red drop shadow.

Which one do you think looks better?

Very cool! Nice to see someone make their own decal instead of slapping on a fake Fender decal....

I think the red compliments the body nicely.

I voted black. Though I think the red & black probably looks better in person.

This was a tuff one! Nice job.

Red 6's and body! I mean, come on! Black and red, no doubt.

Sweet bass and killer decal. Nice job.

I dig the red drop shadow for sure! I'm generally not crazy about jazz basses, but that one's got me drooling.

Black w/ red shadow. Looks cool and reverses the body...

  10. Very nice! Contracts on a sweet build.

I am going for option 3 and filling in the "other" slot... "El Dialog" in red, with the "bass guitars" in black beneath. And red 6's with the black clef.

    Cool, BTW

gus1894, good idea! Thanks for the suggestion! I have done a version that way now. Basically, red letters for El Diablo with a black outline, just like the 666 is done. Hmmm. I guess I'll have to burn another sheet of decal paper so I can make some of that version to try. I think I like it better than either of the first 2.

They are "vintage-style" reverse wind. But I don't know what brand they are. I bought this neck used and already "loaded".

  18. Thanks, you going to post a shot with that decal?

And, man that top is very cool - kind of top I'd like - did you do the finish on the top or did they produce it that way for you?

Drop shadow. Looks amazing with the body, and even the red felt on the strings. Nicely done sir this is fantastic.
