This thing is gorgeous... Wondering if you guys know who it belonged to. FENDER Limited Edition 60th Anniv Precision Bass Custom—Celeb Owned
that's possible. But the bass is gorgeous. Is this not a limited edition like they are saying? I haven't gotten out much but I haven't seen another one quite like it.
I'm in the skeptical camp. If it really belonged to someone that famous, why not just say it? Wouldn't that increase the value? Who sells guitars and deliberately keeps secrets in order to lose money?
Fender Limited Edition 60th Anniversary Precision Bass Blackguard Blonde 2011 | Reverb Looks to be HUGELY overpriced based on what identical basses are selling for. You can probably get the white pearloid pickguard for $30. Nothing about this makes it worth $2k more than identical instruments.
Here's the reverb listing. FENDER P BASS— Limited Edition 60th Anniversary Precision Bass Custom 2011—Owned by Music Legend I've heard of Noble Brass Company. Don't know if they are legit but have heard of them.
That description reads like a whole boatload of unsubstantiated hyperbole. If it is such a phenomenal bass, how come the "famous" musician didn't play the thing? Why is it in "double mint" condition? I also think it's ugly. Not the least bit interested.
Blurring the serial number is very common in bass sales. That's not a red flag. Everything else might be, but not that.
I've got a Squier bass that was owned by someone famous, not gonna tell you who but it's half the price ...bargain
If you post a whole bunch of stuff about how your dog is the best dog ever, then....no. The dog didn't do nothing wrong, as far as I know. But if it's ugly, I reserve the right to call it ugly.....while I pet it. ;-)
Agreed. But at least now I know I like the looks of those 60th anniversary pbasses. Didn't know they existed...
If it isn't documented and proven that it belonged to the 'legend' then it makes a good story but doesn't increase the value.
