Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by Rumble Thunder, Jul 10, 2018.

  1. Wow, excellent.

Got Ten Years Live on vinyl. Great album.

An BL I sub for on occasion likes to do Metropolitan Ave, Moving Up in Class, and Guard Your Heart.

Your in Nashville, so speaking of great drummers, do you know Timm Biery?

Pbassmanca In the pocket n' thumpy. So woody, so greasy...

The thing that blows my mind is just how beautifully she could sing, while laying down those fantastic "thumpy" 70's drums and looking like an angel all at once.....So sad that she was taken by anorexia.

  12. @TN WOODMAN I was going to PM you this, as this isn't supposed to be a Nighthawks thread, but i figured WTH, others would enjoy/benefit from seeing it as well.

This is from a local (Washington DC) show called PM Magazine back around 1978. This was shared to a Facebook group on the DC scene in the 70s. Video was posted to You Tube by orig NH bass player Jan Zukowski.

    My first concert!
    I was 10 or 11.
It was so far over my crew cut head that it shouldn’t really count.

    I liked the loud.

  16. Very cool. This is around the time I first saw the band and have been a devotee ever since. I’ve seen this clip but thanks for posting for others.

I used to see Gene Krupa when movies from the 40s and 50s rotated back onto TV.
Steve Gadd seemed to be on all the liner notes of my albums.
Based largely upon interviews and they seem to be men I would like to hang with Narada Michael Walden and Bill Maxwell.
