I'm wanting to get a 5 string to avoid those dreaded drop D tunings. I was impressed with the Rockbass Corvette Classic and MusicMan SUB 5. I play a Stingray for standard tuning, so the SUB would give me the advantage of that sound, but I loved the way the Rockbass cuts through, and plus it is $200 cheaper than the SUB. So which do you like better?

  2. i would highly recommend a lankland skyline 5 string. they have the 55-02 (i think thats the cheaper of the two) for ~699, and as many people here will atest to, they are *quite* nice for the price.

    plus, they are dead sexay!
