First of all the PDW is a multi-purpose guitar-oriented pedal. If you feel you need a volume and distortion in the same pedal, that's probably your best bet. However, if you want something funkier, that does one thing, the Dual Bass wah is probably better for you.

I find that having volume and wah in the same pedal is rather annoying because it never does both. I prefer independent pedals for that. The PDW does work fine with bass, you need to ask yourself whether or not you need the less-than-amazing distortion and the volume feature.

i bought a PBA2 last week. i cant decide if i like the funk switch on or off, but either way it sounds good!

the only thing i dont like is its too noticeable when the wah switches on and off. maybe i just need to mess with the level knob a bit.
