I have a bassman 135 tube head, and I'm looking for a new more modern cab that will let me get louder, clearer, and deeper than the matching bassman 2x15 that I'm using right now. WHat do you guys think.... :meh:

The Bassman 135 is such a great head! Congrats!

I'll tell you what I did for years -- gigged with a 135 and a Bag End 2-12. Yummy beyond belief! Modern, yet vintage. Pretty compact and portable, too. I played plenty of loft parties and clubs in the NYC area and it always sounded great.

12s give you more "whump" than 10s. Plus you get to hear how punchy 6L6s can really be. A great combo.

The Bag End bin is also very efficient, which will be helpful because your amp is probably not really putting out 135 watts. I'd guess closer to 100.

In any case, that's what I'd do cause that's what I did!

I still have the Bag End but sadly not the 135. I use a Trace V6 now, but I still have fond memories of that rig.
