I prefer the MOT (pearloid white) pickguard.

Maybe all black if it's metal or industrial music.
  4. I have had a fetish for a Warmoth J in black (maple fingerboard) with a pickguard just like the pearloid white one, Nino.

That pickguard basically says "Who's your daddy!" to the other one.
  5. Of these two I'd vote black-white-black. The white pearloid would be a close runner-up, however.

I am thinking of getting a black abalone pickguard for my black Jazz V - I think that would be very snazzy!:D
  6. Definately the B/W/B pickguard. That bass looks killer "blacked-out"!

I think it would look great with black p/g, black headstock, and chrome bridge and tuners (but keeping the black control plate).
  8. I voted for the BP/W/B but if you go with the black you could send that pearloid to me...:D

I am about to order one for my black P bass and it couldn't hurt to have a matching Jazz.

I like the black look, but that pickguard is KILLER, so it took my vote :D

    B/W/B is my vote.

Is that a Warmoth or a Sadowsky?

Warmoth has a crushed silver/blue pickguard that looks killer.

    i voted for the B/W/B
  12. I voted for the Black Pearloid (but lose the picks!).:D ;)
  13. Definitely the B/W/B. The black pearl does nothing for me.

Definitely the pearloid. The mostly black config. is just boring.
  15. Another vote for the pearloid. It's a nice accent to a black body. It also makes it look like a Reggie Hamilton Jazz bass. Yum. :)

    Black on black
  17. no me gusta pearloid. black on black looks nice! especially cool with the little bit of white around the pickguard's edge.

I think it works well to accent the blackness of the bass. There are none more dark, y'know? So the white works. But that looks pretty zippy. Now I got Warmoth GAS againt...

B/W/B because that is how my Jazz is configured. Looks very sharp IMNSHO :D.

  20. I like the black. What color is the headstock? If it's black too, go with the black pg. If it's unfinished, go with the pearl.
