Which of these Jazz Bass wiring kits should I buy?

    Your advice, please:

StewMac has THIS SET for $18.98

GuitarElectronics.com has THIS SET for $15.95

The StewMac set comes with wire; the GuitarElectronics one does not.

Also, the GuitarElectronics set comes with TWO capacitors, while the StewMac set only has ONE capacitor. It's got me a little bit confused.

I will be using this in my new SX Jazz bass, which is great but has crummy pots.

    Many thanks,

    Anybody?

I just need to know which set to purchase (whether I need two capacitors).

Anybody have the answer? Pretty please? I'd really like to get this SX up and running.

    Many thanks in advance,

    ~ Keef

either will work fine. Without knowing the tone cap values, I don't know why there's two in the guitarelectronics.com one. Maybe one is a spare in case you mis-solder one? Or maybe the caps are different values for you to experiment.

Those two capacitors have different physical sizes, and while its hardly a scientific measurement, that usually means either different voltage handling or different value. And since a pickup by no means pushes the limits of an average capacitor (25-50 volts), I'd say those are different values.
