With a original badass bridge, G&L tribute tuners, active EMG P bass pick ups ( not select or HZ). A 80's usa fender jass PUP. And this for the string tree http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7365858331&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWN:IT&rd=1 For a nut I'm thinking about this one if it will fit. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7365858331&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWN:IT&rd=1 For frets I got Fenders pre cut and bent fret wire.

I have a bit of a fetish for maple necks (but you wouldn't know it by looking at the basses I own, 2 maple, 2 rosewood) so my first inclination is the first neck.

But it would heavily depend on what bass body looked like also.

EDIT: Oops, make that 2 maple, 1 wenge and 1 rosewood.
  5. the second one...4 reasons

    1) Rosewood FB...
    2) I don't like block inlays and to me, FB binding is a pain
    3) Trussrod adjustment at the head.
    4) I love the walnut skunk stripe...it reminds me of a couple of my all time favorite basses (one of which I am the owner :D )

    The second one.

I think that black blocks on maple are one of the ugliest ideas that fender ever had and they should have been left in the 70's. I mean, nothing says style like plain black plastic blocks.

If it were rosewood with pearl blocks I would have voted for that option.
  7. ummm...I don't think a Fender neck is a direct fit for a Yamaha BB body...I believe the pocket dimensions are different

also, you better seriously check the distance from where the 12th fret to the bridge will be, because it need to be 17"...(I suspect this may be ok, though...both are for 21 fret, 34" scale basses)

The last owner had the neck pocket set up for fender necks.
