Which Pedal for Rock?

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by tezrez, Dec 23, 2001.

  1. i play junk like system of a down
    tool
    POD
and a bunch of bands u dont know

what would be a good pedal for this kinda music?
im lookin for something that can bring out the lows at time but also get a grunge type sound.

Ive been told the ibanez PD-7overdrive but gimme ur opinions

    Any recommandations?

  2. I would have to say the SansAmp BDDI; very cool for overdriven sounds and it comes in handy when you’re ready to start recording. I also suggest a separate compressor/Limiter for nailing a RATM organ sound...

I think the pd7 sounds way too "saturated", I just couldn't get a nice grind out of it. Same deal with the Boss, which adds an annoying raspy sound to my ears. I like the Sansamp though. Yeah, it's expensive but it sounds awesome, especially useful for getting that "rock tone". I might be getting one soon.

  5. You know; I have no Idea what I'm getting or if I'm getting anything at all (I wasn't that good this year). I don't want to. Isn't it always better when you don't know what your going to get?
