ok, im having a really hard time figuring out which pickguard i should order for my bongo. It is currently between the black pearl and white pearl. The bongo is all black. Any other suggestions?

Tort would look smokin' and I've yet to see a Black Bongo with tort.
  3. either would look nice but I would put the black pearl on it.

Of those two, black pearl. First choice would be red tort.

While mine is Sapphire Black, it might give you a couple of ideas:

    And, my personal favorite:

www.pickguards.us has quite a few unique pickguard materials, so I wouldn't limit yourself to the standard stuff.

For example, here's my white fretless with an antique acrylic gold:

Yes, I know it looks like a hard boiled egg. :D
  9. The tort is very cool! Of your two choices, I'd probably get a black pearl.

I'd go with EB MusicMan's Black Ice.

Go with the one that protects your Bongo from scratches better. (Psssst - Since they both do that equally well, pick the one you think looks better.)

i actually am looking for pickguards for my black stingray, so i know your connundrum. if you've got it down to 2 (which is doing better than me), why not buy both? they're easy to change, not super expensive, and you could change them bassed on your mood (or between songs if you want to mess with the audience ;) )
