    I've got to say zebrawood because that is the top on my beloved Pedulla Thunderbass. I've never connected more to an instrument.
     
  3. Not to diss Zebrawood, but I just let go of a Spector with that top that my guitarist referred to as 'The Wardrobe'. I'd go for something like the Walnut look Fender used on some of their Precisions in the 80s. Simple, authentic, coool.

  12. Buckeye Burl, no contest.

    It is by far my favorite top wood.

    This Wal may belong to spiritchaser, but it's American Buckeye top haunts my dreams. ;)
