  3. I can't find one with black hardware tho.
  4. This is a Ric 2020. Maybe the right number.

Here's any easy one for you guys to figure out.

  6. Yeah, when I was looking around for the other bass, I wondered why they made that sig model. Just to match the guitar? Looks like it's a rare bird.

Hey thanks guys. It was the old "catch 22" where I didnt have the model # so I couldnt look it up. I had tried all the obvious searches like 'history of Ric basses" "every Ric bass ever made" ect. lol. So from the info you've all provided im guessing this is the 2020, NOT 2030 or 2050 which both have 4 tone knobs. It could also be the 2060 too tho and I wish I could figure that out.
this is the best info I could come up with:

It's a 2020. The 2060 had double binding and gold hardware. There is a much better source of information out there.;)

Yeah, only around 100 were made. I've played a few others, over the years. Here is another one, that a friend brought to one of our Baltimore gigs. The other two basses were mine, but departed. now. The 4001V63 is with a Tber in the SF Bay area, and the 4003FL is with the friend that is holding the bass in this photo.

  10. One of bucket list basses. Just because.

  11. Man, I'd love to try a fretless Ric. drool And all these basses appeal to me more than any of the triangle inlay models. They just feel weird under my fingers.
