    Okay, this poll may be truly worthless, but it still might be fun. Which TBer do you most closely associate with a particular bass brand? For example....When you see the word "Alembic" in a thread, do you think "wonder how long 'til Malthumb checks in"?

    These are the pairings that come to mind first. Moderators feel free to add any glaring omissions.

    Malthumb = Alembic
    JT = Conklin
    Speddling = Benavente
    Brian Barrett = Benavente
    Jared Morante = Fodera
    Nino Brown = Sadowski
    Fhodson = Zon
    Dave Grossman = Hanewinckel
    Geshel = Hanewinckel
    Boogiebass = Hanewinckel
    JRBrown = Ken Smith
    Progzilla = Conklin
    Bassland = MTD
    Allodox = Ibanez
    Mgood = Carvin
    Brad Johnson = anything containing wood & strings

    Have fun with this one

    Peace,

    James

  2. You're forgetting xush and me with FBB, although I'm down to only one of Matt's basses right now.

    Yup. The funny thing is, I played around with a couple options. One was to leave him off. Tweeeeet!! Flag on the play! Unnecessary roughness from all the TBers that woulds say "Hey, you forgot [insert favorite mullet-wearer's name here]".

    The other was to compare signal to noise ratio. What percentage of each listed TBer's posts are focused on their brand of choice. Too much thought required. Mullet-man would probably be on the other end of that spectrum since as a moderator he's involved in so many topics. Almost left Brad off for the same reason. That and the fact that his tastes don't really pin him down to a particular type of bass, let alone brand.

    Peace,

    James

    You are definitely the biggest fan of Brubakers. But then you don't seem to be as locked in on Brubakers v everything else as some of us are towards our brands of choice. Kinda gets to my "signal-to-noise ratio" comment in my response to Embellisher.

    That's my PC response. My blunt response is

    "Ya didn't make the cut! Get over it!" j/k ;)

    Peace,

    As Joe Nerve said, Nino played Spectors for years before he switched to Sadowsky. He has only played Sadowsky for a couple of years, and I'll bet that he has owned more Spectors than Sadowskys.

    Nino?:)

  20. Eh, Spector is my new fetish brand. I barely touch my BG5 anymore since I got my Euro5! I still think it's a fine bass, though. :)
