    just curious to know.
old fender bodies seem to be 4,4-4,5cm thick whereas newer ones are only about 4cm thick.

when did that change occur and what do you prefer?

    thanks

    bump.

    no fender experts here?
or am i wrong asking the initial question per se?

  3. I have never noticed thinner bodies except on the very cheapest Squiers

same here. as far as i know, fender basses have always been approx. 1 3/4" thick with the exception of Mustang and Musicmaster basses.
