Lets hear your favourites!
I like Black Velvet, but I'm not trying to win a "TB's most cultured gentleman" contest.
I'm really enjoying Macallan 18 right now. Balvenie Rum Cask 17 is very nice as well. I would say one that is notable is a Balblair, very floral and smooth.
Anyone have any Whiskey Stones? My wife just got some for me. They are nice in certain brands where a chill brings out different flavors and you don't want to water it down with ice.
I like Oban.
Big fan of Bushmill's, if I'm partying with Canucks rye goes down quite well.
OOOOOOOoooooI like that stones thing!
Talisker 10 year
Balvenie Carribean Cask
Bowmore (and its 5 y.o. little brother McClelland Islay)
Rye only for me. I prefer Crown Royal, Canadian Club, Black Velvet and Corby's, in that order. Pepsi/Coke or 7up/Sprite mixer.
I tried, but do not like scotch at all.
Oh yeah, I can handle Southern Comfort in small amounts as well, on the rocks, no mixer.
The alcoholic kind. I'm not picky.
+1 I also am a big Johny Walker fan.
I actually despise the stuff.. HOWEVER- i am a big fan of SoCo & lime shots (only one or 2, hard stuff ain't my thing). And believe it or not, Beam and Cherry Dr. Pepper is actually pretty darn good. Says the non-whiskey drinker
Makers Mark if I'm mixing... Woodford Reserve, if I'm not...
Two great choices. My top two as well. Good taste you have sir.
Four Roses, Knob Creek, Makers Mark, Jim Beam, in that order.
Single malt - Glenmorangie
Blended - Johnnie Walker Black
+1 to the Oban.
I just love Dewars standard white label though, nothing else tastes the same.
I'm more of a scotch drinker, but I do like Crown Royal Black. One day me and a couple of buds had 3 airline bottles, 3 identical glasses, and 3 identical mixes. 2 Makers Mark, and one Black. I always thought MM was great, and still think it's good, but I tried a sip of my buddy's CRblack mix, and was blown away at how much better it tasted to me.
Canadian Mist is my usual mixer inexpensive and tastes good 2 me
Wild Turkey 101 with water
Wild Turkey Rare Breed for shots
Evan Walker Honey reserve is nice for a hot toddy and sore throat
Southern Comfort while not a whiskey has very fond memories
Don't enjoy Scotch at all more a whiskey or bourbon fan.
