I love white basses. Show yours off?

[IMG] <-- It's not mine but I want it.
  2. Here's an American Deluxe Jazz, my favorite bass, in white.

    Here's a nice P. +1 for the aged finish.

When Fender started putting thumbrests on basses, they were in fact fingerrests. Fender intended for the bass to be played with your thumb being pulled in a downward motion.

This one http://www.bassnw.com/Used Basses/hohner_jazz_fretless_4_st.htm is on its way to me. I hope it plays as good as it looks. My first bass was white and I'm glad to be getting a white bass again. I especially like the tort guard over white on this one.

Actually, not so much a thumb rest back then as a place for the rest of your fingers to grab on to while playing with your thumb (see Jamerson). You lay your palm flat slightly over the pickup cover, grab onto the finger rest below the strings with the rest of your finger tips and go "thud thud thud" with your thumb. As bass technique changed, the finger rest was relocated above the strings. As always, I could be Brad Johns..... ummm... wrong. :D

Sped, I always thought from looking at pics that your Benevente was a light powder blue. Guess not.

  17. Sweet! That is my dream bass right there -- a Jazz in that color combo. Nice job!
  18. Here's the white Reverend Rumblefish I just scored from a fellow TBer. Bass #62, to go with my blue #47. Should be here next week!

I can't wait to check out Dave's new Reverend. After all--I'm the one who pointed it out. Let's see that makes, what? 5 basses you've bought after I've shown them to you?!?

I've got a white 5 string fretless Bongo on the way :hyper: , but it won't be here for another month, at least. :(
  20. Hmm.. let's see.. yeah, five! :bassist:
    EDIT: Actually, it's six..
