I've never been able to figure out who makes basses with this capital-handwritten "M" on the headstock. Eric Wilson of Sublime played them. Anyone? I'd like to get one, Eric's had a humbucker right where the neck started, produced a killer dub tone.[IMG]

I've seen him using koll basses and he has an endorsement deal with them. http://www.kollguitars.com/pages/player.php

That pic doesn't look like one, and i don't think the koll logo looks anything like an "M"... but you might look at 'em anyway...

Perhaps he's into far-east basses? You know, Mibanez, Macland's Myline Series...

The direct-sales route is also a possibility. Marvin's make a great bass for the money. ;)

    In your mind
Just to narrow things down a bit, there are over 75 guitar/bass companies the start with the letter "M" the Blue Book of Guitars. I think a picture of the body might help get it identified [if posable :p ] quicker.

Looks a bit like a Gibson Ripper to me, but they don't have the thingy in the headstock, I think.

I guess it will remain un-identified. I was looking for better pics like Smash produced with no success. I didn't think it would happen, but look at dude losing weight!

Look at what dusty brand he plays now too

Oh he looks so delicious with his see-through shirts :bag:

I've seen one video of Sublime playing Ebin and Eric was using an Ibanez.

Sublime/LBDA's are from the California area, so is it possible at least one of these could be a Fatdawg/Subway Guitars creation?
