Who do the same basses look different?

I was looking at modulus and drum city guitarland and the exact same bass looked different. Take a look yourself:

This one is from Modulus's site.

And this one obviously being drum city guitar land.

To me the Drum city one looks nicer with the lighter fingerboard. Is it the lighting they took the pictures in?

P.S. Can you special order a Genesis with a Rosewood fingerboard?

Mostly the lighting. I'd say the DCGL photo is more accurate to the actual color. The color might be a little bit off in stock photos.

Well obviously the lighting is different but beyond that it's wood, no 2 pieces are exactly alike.

Top looks like Photoshopped (PS) components on a 3TB body.

The actual looks like a 2TB body.

I would have never thought that any bass manufacturer would photoshop their stock photos like a playboy spread other than to futz with the brightness and contrast.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, they paste the components? Oh, I'm so disappointed (not so much).

I've never noticed before. I'll be looking a lot closer at advertisements and stock photos from now on.
