My custom Ramirez Singlecut :
I have a 9-string, acoustic, piccollo bass (one of only 90 made):
I don't think anyone is playing a Yamaha BB605 on a regular basis. Mine also has a Bartolini 5.4 A/P preamp and Bartolini hum-cancelling jazz pickups.
Here's one nobody else has. It's basically a handmade recreation of a '62 Jazz. This is the best sounding jazz bass I have ever heard.
* 62 Jazz Body w/75 Neck (slimmer neck)
* Black Relic w/matching headstock
* Vintage 70s-style Open Gear Tuning Machines
* Bound Maple, Quarter-Sawn, C-shape Neck
* Pearloid Black Block Inlay
* Vintage bridge
* Amalfitano pickups
This is an full scale archtop bass made by Landscape from Japan. I believe the man behind these used to be affiliated with the Aria Custom Shop. They make jazz box guitars and EUB's too. The only reference I can google up is a website in French. Tres Bon!
If there is another one out there please contact me.
Try.. Greco jazz bass. i want to know if there is anyone here has the same bass i want to know more about this bass.
comparing it to my US jazz i had this one is far better
How about a short-scale 9-string fan-fret?
ooo, i do. pick one...
Only three other lucky people on this earth own a Ritter Roya Concept, but no one else has one smothered in platinum...!
So...ummm....do you like Conklin basses?
God I hate you....
And John lays 'em low again!!
Custom Stambaugh SCNT8
heh. hey mark, looking good. how does the stammie 8 compare to your old conk hollowbody 8?
I'll bet no one has one of these.....
Started out as a '60s semi acoustic Wurlitzer that was slighly modified by a friend back in the '70s.
The biggest difference was in the neck profile.. The Stammie's is a little thicker. Of course there are some tonal differences in that this bass has the Aero pups whereas Bill's came with his signature line (can't remember the cat's name that makes them for him).. Quality and attention-to-detail are right on par though.. I got no complaints at all about this bass.. Only things I'd change if I had to do it all over again are 1) just go with a 7 string instead of an 8 and 2) go with a majority mahogany or possibly walnut neck composition.. maple and purpleheart is definitely a stable conbination, but it's a little bright for my tastes...
Would love to get another custom-shop Conklin someday but I simply can't afford them now..
I have to say though, I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the Dickens model Groove Tools I scored! Comparable in many ways to the full-blown customs I've owned..
THAT is bass Nirvana... well done man, well done
i got my hands on a 25th anniversary quantum, 1 of 25 made ;]. http://www.premierguitar.com/Stream/StreamImage.aspx?Image_ID=9948&type=gear&Image_Type=full
Chop off 2 strings off the Stambaugh and I'm in heaven.
