I do and always have. It was these two bass players Shonna Tucker and Keith Ferguson who started me loving the look. I think Dusty hill from ZZ Top also had one.
Yesterday I scored my first reverse headstock Fender a Reverse Jaguar. Last night I could not put it down. I had been on the lookout for a lefty neck to make my own but now have the bass so all is good.

So tell me if you dig the weirdness of the reverse headstocks? If you own one please post a pic.

I prefer them, puts the tuners where my left hand can easily reach them. The tuners on top never made sense to me, requires left wrist contortions to use...

I was trying to do the same but never found the right one. I'm glad I waited for this bass is a tone monster and looks badass.

The reverse headstock is a warmoth neck on an 80s MIJ that I built up. The other is a stock 73 Fender factory fretless (my birth year bass)

Dusty Hill has used several reverse headstocks. I like the looks. Here is one that I GAS for:

Actually, I've always thought the reverse headstock makes good technical sense. It provides a longer length to the E which I think may add to tone and/or sustain. But, I have no technical knowledge to support that theory. It is only a theory.

I like them but don't have one. Was thinking of finding someone with a Ibanez TMB-100 lefty that would want to swap for my righty then we'd both have a reverse headstock! :)

This is just a lefty neck on a right-handed Jazz Bass (Glenn Cornick of Jethro Tull), but I've always liked it.

I don't think that would add anything. In my opinion, nothing really matters past the nut and saddles. I'm not the type that believes string-through providing any extra sustain either.

  19. I like them and matching headstocks.

I love the look, particularly an upside down Fender (I'm a Hendrix nut, he planted that seed). I will someday have a custom lefty style set up for a righty...someday.
