He also goes by Fat Willie...

Owner of NBS (as in No BS) Electronics in Denver, CO.

A google search or yahoo yellow pages, will get you the rest of the way there.

Knows his stuff and isn't afraid to offer his opinion...

Yes, he strikes me as being very opinionated.

    Sometimes I agree with him, sometimes I don't. :)

You're probably better off calling him...

Yep. Rather talk to/e-mail Mark at lifeeffects.com ..............really knows his stuff and is down-to-earth. Plus I've found his QSC prices lower than Lord Valve.

Saying that Lord Valve is opinionated is a bit of an understatement. I agree that calling would be best.

If you're looking for a QSC power amp, I too found a better price from Mark at Life-Effects Pro Audio. He ordered it from QSC with custom input sensitivity (for my low-output Pearce preamp) at no extra charge (back in late '01 IIRC) and it still came within about a week.

If you're looking for tube advice...either Lord Valve or the folks at Triode Electronics in Chicago are the contacts that I'd recommend.

That's an understatement for sure! :D ;) He's a pretty cool guy overall though. If you think he's opinionated over distance, try meeting him. :)

    Oh, but I have.

Always try to squeeze in a fun side trip when I travel on business...previous trip to Denver had me visiting NBS.

Lots of old SVTs and other tube gems laying around.

I don't know about his opinions or attitudes, but I got really good service from him and fast shipping.

Yep, excellent service and fast shipping. Politically, he's about as moderate as Ted Nugent and about as PC too...
