Who is your favorite band?

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by OriginalName, Apr 12, 2005.

  1. I'm always asked this question, and I can never give a straight answer. There are just way too many good bands! And I like so many genres of music (metal), making it even harder, since I look at each genre in a different way.

    Can you answer this question?

There are indeed many many many many many many many many many many many many many great bands who create great music that I love. But I'm always in the mood for London Calling.

I'm not sure if I have an overall favourite, but I can always listen to Pat Metheny in one of his incarnations. I have Bright Size Life (with Jaco and Bob Moses,) One Quiet Night (solo baritone guitar,) and The Way Up (Pat Metheny Group, basically a symphony for modern jazz.) I've got a few mp3's of him with Charlie Haden (I'd love to pick up this album ASAP) and some misc. stuff he's done throughout his career. Amazing guy.
