Who is your favorite combination player? You know, both finger-style and pick/plectrum? :)

  1. Hey Dudes,
Who are your favorite players that use both techniques in their playing?
    Mine in no particular order:
    Adam Clayton-U2
    Sting
    Pete Trewavas-Marillion
    Dave Meros-Spock's Beard
    Eddie Jackson- Queensryche
    Tom Drummond-Better Than Ezra

Julie Slick. She's probably best known for her pick playing, but her fingerstyle is equally amazing. She switches back and forth frequently throughout a set, and often within a song.

My vote is for John Paul Jones and John Entwistle - both can move effortlessly from pick to fingers and Entwistle would start sometimes with a pick then throw it away halfway through a song and carry on with fingers.

  17. IMO the most distinctive pick tone in the business. His style is so unmistakably unique, as is his tone.
