Who are some of you guys' favourite band leaders or frontmen? Mine would be:

    Lemmy - Motorhead
    James Hetfield - Metallica
Billie Joe Armstrong - Green Day
    Bruce Dickinson - Iron Maiden

...And I'm sure there are more that I am missing. :)

I'm not talking about the best vocalist, I'm talking about a fontman. Someone who can sing, but more so work a crowd and entertain.

It's a toss up between David Lee Roth or Paul Stanley
  3. i d say a toss up between

Peter Frampton- seen him in concert, really roars up a crowd

Alice Cooper- Seen him too, dont think words are needed

David Bowie-seen, he is really really sexual on stage.

I don't know, he just seems to have alot of presence and his voice is so unmistakable and powerful. I love the man (in a hetero kinda way).

I don't see Judas Priest mentioned much, and I've seen them live and they're awsome, so I'm gonna say:

    Rob Halford

  10. Halford is an *******, i know , ive met him. I was at a Maiden/Priest concert and he walked right into me , he walked into ME, and had the nerve to call me an evil american *******, when i quickly jumped to say sorry.

Edit: please reread the usage agreement.

I would say Geddy Lee, but 90% of me liking him is because of his bass playing, and you have to admit, there are much better singers than him. :meh:

    IMHO of course. ;)

I second Dickinson. On Maiden's 'Rock In Rio' DVD, he really gets the crowd going. Often the crowd sings louder than him.

Great calls on Sandman and Claypool (Les uses that bullet mic because of him). I think Morrison was the best ever, well maybe Zappa - but living I'll take Trey or David Byrne.
