Fender basses do seem to sound better with Fender strings on them. I like the 7150's and 7250's what do you like?

The stock strings on my jazz bass (with black threads at the ends) suit me very well. I liked fatbeams better on taht bass, but I moved the stock strings to my warwicka s they were still fresh, adn tehy sounds great.

  3. They arent my favorite strings, but I have used them before and thought they were alright. I used the 7250-5M's.

  4. I like the 7250 Ms on my MIJ P. They have a smooth feel and fairly high tension. And they're cheap!

+1. I LOVE those strings. You're right - very smooth, not too stiff. I just got a USA P bass with 8250's? (something like that) and I can't wait to put 7250's on it, but GC NEVER has them in stock - I think GC just doesn't order Fender bass strings for some reason.

Yup, I got the flats (no idea what number) on my fretless. Pretty solid.

7150's for me on my "P"'s Does anyone else make a Pure Nickel string? I'm can't seem to get the 7150L 40-100 sets around here anymore, and a few online places have told me they're having supply issues with Fender on strings. Everyting seems to be Niclel plated, not pure Nicel like the 7150's. Any suggestions??

I love the "Super Bass" nickelplated roundwounds on my Jazz bass V and Peavey Millenium P-J bass. They are my "go-to" roundwounds, I love 'em. I love the Fender nylon tapes on my franken-PJ fretless. Yeah, I like Fender strings.

  14. I've got the 7150s M on at the moment. Nice, bright sound, not too floppy (even on a drop D tuning). I like them.

However, I have not yet tried DR Fat Beams.

    Cheers

  15. I use 9050 flats on my P-Basses, either L or ML. I like them a lot!

DR Nickel Lowriders are pure Nickel. I find them better for slap and funk though. You may them find quite useful though. Adamas also makes Cryogenic Pure Nickel wound strings. They are not that expensive either!

  18. They're nickel plated steel. Lookie here.

I like them a lot. I use both the 7250's and 8250's. At some point I'd like to try the all nickel 7150's.
