Who made thr first single-cut?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by sfbassplayer, Jun 5, 2005.

  1. I was just sitting here and thinking about how much the bass has evolved over the years.

Who is credited with making the first single-cut?

The first one I remember seeing was the Fodera Imperial models.

    I think you're about 30 years short.

If you mean the Les Paul/Tele singlecut, yeah, that's been around forever. If you mean the extended singlecut that we think of today when we say "singlecut bass" though, I think Fodera was the first.

I agree with you...but the original didn't specify.
