    Who makes 6 string basses with wider than standard string spacing (for a six string). I know Fodera and Yamaha do. Is there anyone else?

    By "wider than standard", I'm guessing you want 3/4" spacing or close to it? A few others come to mind right off the bat:

    --Ibanez BTB series
    --Curbow (American, not Cort)

    Since you mentioned Fodera, I'm guessing price isn't much of an issue, but the only one of these that will be relatively inexpensive is the Ibanez. Most of the smaller builders like Carey Nordstrand, Matt Pulcinella, etc. will gladly build 6's with wide spacing, too.

    If money is no problem I would go for a Nordstrand with all the options!

    Warwick Stage 1 6 and LX6 are pretty wide. Also, the Benaventes.
  7. Most custom builders could make any spacing you wanted.

    Streamer LX could be ordered in broadneck version (20 mms) back in the days they were available
    Thumb BO can be ordered in broadneck
    Streamer St II comes in 20mms as sttandard, but it only is 5; as for the Stage I, I'm not sure, but I also have no experience with those;
    when you custom-order a Warwick, you have a lot more custom options, but for a lot more $$

    Many luthiers and hand-builders will do it for you, as well
  9. Yeah, I know that Hanewinckel Guitars ( http://www.hguitars.com/ ) will make it with whatever spacing you want.
