    Not including the micro type ABGs made by Taylor and Ibanez and some others; who makes a short scale 30-inch to 31-inch ABG? I have a Stagg Dreadnought bought from @Chrome Dome and I am aware that LUNA makes one as well as Guild. Who else? My Nephew, the drummer, asked me as he has a co-worker who is looking for one.

    Stagg AB203CE-SB 30" dreadnought body

    Luna Tribal 30"
    Guild B-240E and B-240EF 30.75" in fretted and fretless

    Not an answer to the thread title (which is about who makes short-scale ABGs, present tense), but here are some old threads, in case buying used is an option and should something suitable come up locally:

    How come no manufacturers make a 30" scale acoustic bass?

    short scale acoustic bass?

    Among the suggestions in them, a couple Fender models made in the early Aughts. Problem is, those offering were a little confusing, at least at a quick googlage:
    - the BG-29 existed, and had a scale of just under 30";
    - I've seen mentions of it, but I'm not sure there actually was a BG-30;
    - apparently, the BG-31 had a 32" scale;
    - the BG-32 is sometimes quoted as having a 29-odd inch scale, some other times 32".
    Clear as mud, eh?
