Who makes MTD strings?

    I like the MTD SS rounds, and I'm just curious if anyone knows who is the manufacturer?

    I searched and found nothing.

    Does it really matter? Most probably Mike has them wound to his specs anyway (dean markley)

    BTW those are very nice strings! If you want I have 3 single B 135t brand new! ;-)

    I heard over on the MTD thread that D'Addario has been making the MTDs for a little while now but I don't know how reliable the source is.

    I know Mike changed his string "formula" few years ago. They went from a yellowish gold silk to a more greenish gold one (or vice versa). Really in the end who cares as long it sounds good to you!

    From what I know Dean Marley has been making Mike strings for a while
