I don't really care, I know it's me, but I wanted to start an inane thread because my feet hurt and it takes my mind off of it.

For the record, I have three. And I want another one. The fivers really, seriously rule.

Even with the suck-ass basswood, that is correct. And even if you think they're ugly, so that's all out of the way.

So don't bother trolling my thread.

I dig 'em. I need to get me a fiver, in fact. So far, consider yerself the Bongomeister. ;)

  3. I'll vouch for that. I played bassmonkeee's Bongo 5 the other night with a guitar player and a drummer. It was amazingly easy to play and the tone was awesome. I don't get G.A.S. for a 5-string, like, ever. But that Bongo gave me serious pause.

Well, I've paid for two, but I only have one in my possession since the fretless isn't going to arrive until July.

And, since they are both 5 stringers, I'm only 3 strings behind you, pal. Also, since I have piezos in both, I'm even with you on pickups.

    So there. :p

Spudlink, I haven't seen the Rolls Burgundy in real life, but that desert gold is really beautiful in person. As is the carbon blue.

Why do you think basswood is "suck-ass"?

He doesn't....he is beating all the wood-tonal-experts to the punchline before they can chime in with the same old crap yet once again ;)

As a side question, on the double humbucker model, does the neck pickup have tighter pole spacing or are they both the same pickup?
