who sings Jungle Boogie??

    I'm doin a cover gig and there's a song called "Jungle Boogie" and I was wondering who sings it?? it's got like a walking bass and horn part in it and funky groove the rest...

    Kool & The Gang are the originals... ;)
    BTW, I don't hear any "walking bass" on that tune, per se("walking bass" in the Jazz sense).
    There is a long(sorta) bass & horn line played in unison.

    This tune had a resurrgence due to the Pulp Finction soundtrack(I think).

    Yup, KATG are the originals, but the SPYZ did the coolest cover version IMO. To be found on the Harder Than You album.

    I would say the bassline on "Jungle Boogie" is one of the walking variety.

    "Jungle Boogie" is getting heavy TV time now as part of a funny Capital credit card ad. A man hiking through the jungle with some friends notices he has lost his credit card. One of the companions says it doesn't matter because no one is around for hundreds of miles.

    Then the camera switches to some chimps partying down really hard to "Jungle Boogie", having used that same lost credit card to purchase all the necessities of a fantastic party. Funny stuff. I laugh every time I see that ad.
