I'm having trouble (well can't) get enough level out of my MXR M-80 bass DI pedal to run my Mackie 1400i poweramp efficiently.

Does anyone else with a pre - poweramp setup need to run a clean boost pedal to boost their signal for the poweramp? please let me know your pre - boost pedal combination..

some clean boost pedals I've been looking at are:

out of those i've only tried the fat boost. it's cool but colors your tone fer sure. seymour duncan makes a pedal for about $100 us (maybe less) that's pretty transparent. i forget the name. one guy i know uses one with a power amp all the time.
