He's recorded the song several times. Hard to say without an album title.

Rzab on Damn Right I have the Blues, but he recored the tune a bunch of times before that. I'm thinking I had an old vinyl where Duck Dunn played bass on Five Long Years. Jack Myers was on some of the 60's stuff with Junior Wells so yu might of caught him as well.

Saw Buddy and Greg live During Feels Like Rain Tour in 93 and Greg Rzab is one Bad Cat. Can you tell if the tone of the bass is rounds or flats? Studio or live? IIRC Greg used rounds on the cut he played on.

    God Bless, Ray

    Right you are.

5 Long Years is cut 3 on Damn Right..., so I believe the OP was referring to that one.

Probably my all time favorite Buddy Guy album. His playing was explosive, I don't know whether it had anything at all to do with the fact that SRV had just died, but the album is so "dark" and Buddy never sounded so good. It was probably his album with the best "production value" great sounding engineering.:bassist:
