Who's the king of the blues? B.B. King? Freddie King? Who's your favorite bluesman, and why?
Nonsqtr,you nailed it.
It would definitely be one of those two. I just can't decide. Their styles are both so different yet so relevant.
I just don't know.
Heck, I vote for both!
does eric clapton count? i think he is awesome. him and albert knig are my two favorite blues guys, although my cd of buddy guy's "sweet tea" is really working for me! everybody here should listen to "baby please don't leave me". i love that song.
Damn i hate political correct crap... i guess what i was going to quote might offend someone so i will put it this way... for those who are informed... George Carlin on house of blues
This way people who know will know and people who want to know cant accuse me of anything... they can only write angry letters to George
pfff, Robert Johnson, BB King, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker,... very though choice.
Ok Ok... really... really really with out any BS...
I hate lables "kings" "best" "who you like the most" becuase you cant compair one artest to another when they are truelly artist...
Art (music) works both ways... you have to have a mood to make it... and you have to have a mood to listen and love it... moods change every few minutes... so every few minutes you will say a diffrent name from list of artist you love...
BB King, definitely put the blues on the map! Robert Johnson was a monster, as is Buddy Guy. Otis Rush certainly plays some nice stuff. But to me the guy who ties it all together is Stevie Ray Vaughn! A couple other names to throw in the mix, Freddie Green, and my new favorite Robben Ford.
I'll prolly get run outta' town if I don't say Buddy Guy (although he's my runner up), but I'm going to have to go with John Lee Hooker.
Albert King - nuff said
Bleedin Gums Murphy!

Eugene "Lightning Boy" Martone!!!
For me it's John Lee Hooker and Muddy Waters. They get in my soul.
Hell he is even called "King of the Delta Blues".
Robert Johnson, Howlin Wolf, John Mayall
Buddy Guy is my favorite bluesman.
Stevie Ray Vaughn gets my vote.
