    Who is your favourate funk bassist?

    mine would probably have to be Flea from the red hot chili peppers..his bass lines are so cool.

  4. well.. Of course Bootsy is up there. But also Marcus Miller, and Ingi S. Skúlason of Jaguar.

    Though he played with a "Jazzer"(Herbie)-
    Jackson' stuff *is* very Funk-infested.
    (Michael Henderson's stint with Miles is analogous).

    Agree with all(especially Jaco, Rocco, Jamerson, Porter, & Jackson)- ;)

    Paul "action" Jackson of the Headhunters--saw him in the 70's w/ Herbie Hancock and last year w/ Mike Clark's Prescription renewal. Man can this cat percolate!
