Whose slap sound do you like most?

    I'm trying to figure out the kind of sound most people like to hear.
    I like both gauge of strings they use,and can play both.
    I'm just trying to decide.
    les uses 45-100 blue steels.wooten uses fodera 40-95

    I guess Claypool, even though his sound is a little too twangy for me (really just a tad bit). Wooten's slapping sounds kinda like a harpsichord. Which can be cool sometimes, but not always for me.

    +1 for Marcus Miller. 70's jazz through a sadowsky pre = quintessential slap sound.

    Whoops I mean Wooten. Certainly, out of the two Wooten is my favourite. His bass tone is amazing.

    Ah, but which mark King tone? Personally, I like his Kingbass tone most!
