claypools' or wootens'?
More "Rock", more "Dirty"...
wooten, more clean and crisp
claypool maybe...but I love Millers tone!
and you, ang213?
I'm trying to figure out the kind of sound most people like to hear.
I like both gauge of strings they use,and can play both.
I'm just trying to decide.
les uses 45-100 blue steels.wooten uses fodera 40-95
I guess Claypool, even though his sound is a little too twangy for me (really just a tad bit). Wooten's slapping sounds kinda like a harpsichord. Which can be cool sometimes, but not always for me.
Claypool, but overall slap tones I like Ryan Martinie's the best.
+1 for Marcus Miller. 70's jazz through a sadowsky pre = quintessential slap sound.
Funk, gettin' ready to roll. Funk, gettin' ready to roll...
we're gonna turn this mother out!
Best.... too many to choose, it's all good!
I'd suggest putting the string on that you like the feel and sound of and just play
Claypool just floooooooooooows.... love it.
especially not claypool.
Hellborg, Hamm, King...
Whoops I mean Wooten. Certainly, out of the two Wooten is my favourite. His bass tone is amazing.
Ah, but which mark King tone? Personally, I like his Kingbass tone most!
