Why didn't anyone tell me about the Epiphon Rock Bass!

I went buy a local store, and they just happened to have an Epiphone Rock Bass in stock, which is basically Epiphone's copy of a Jazz Bass. I had read about them, and Keith Hoerig, from Five Iron Frenzy, I know uses one. So, I checked it out. I plugged into a Traynor YBA 200 and 2x15 cabinet (my first time playing one) and WHAM!

Easily one of the best jazz basses I've ever played. Great sound, and amazing highs for its range. Great slap, and pick tone. The only gripe I'd have is that it had dirty pots and it slightly lacked low end, but I could easily fix that with EQing.

Is $189 a good price for this bass, or could I haggle with them? Either way, it'll be mine in a few weeks.

It exists? I don't see it on the Epiphone site...

I'm pretty sure it has been discontinued for some time, hence the pointy headstock.
