If I had the cash right now I would nab this beauty!
Warmoth Gecko.. nice inlay
I think if I were to want a Warmoth, I'd want to build it myself. It really loses value to me being someone else's project bass. NinoBrown has a sweet one. It really sounded nice, but I don't think I'd really pay out more than parts value on any kit bass. Just because I could do it myself to my specs if I wanted.
Why? I don't know. I also don't know where it is or how much is being asked for it. That would definitely explain why "I" haven't bought it
You got me.
It's on the Warmoth thrift shop page. It's actually kind of expensive.
Sorry about the lack of information.....
Thanks for the followup, Count
Wow, just found it on the website. $1300? That's more than I just paid for my Roscoe 7
That sounds pretty high.
I think it's the one on Warmoth's thrift shop... Check it out
I find it amusing that a 'thrift shop' can sell something for 1300. doesn't seem too thrifty to me.
YOU GOT THAT ROSCOE FOR LESS THAN 13 BONES??!!! Oh, you dog. Man, I'm envious. Sweet deal just got sweeter in my book.
Nah, just a litle inside joke. I paid $1425 on eBay which still isn't much more than this Warmoth.
Maybe next time you could be more helpful in that regard.
Besides Brad's reasons, I should add that there are many basses to choose from in that price range and cheaper that would be more desirable.
If someone buys that bass, they'd better be planning on owning it for life. In the used market, those basses are poison.
Keep it or take a bath at resale time. Then again I know lots of folks here who say that's not a concern. This would be a nice bass for that type of person.
That's the "type of person" I love to buy basses from! *
*Pardon the preposition.
Whew. Damn. Well, my heart slowed down a little, anyway. That's still an outrageous steal, which of course you know. Congrats again.
you can make a one for under 1000 thast with got pups but no paint
Wanna see what I got for a grand?
I'm afraid to ask...but, yeah, let's see it (better not be a Roscoe, Modulus or Smith!)
Surine Protocol 7. Sold it last year. I ran into the current owner for the first time, this month. saw him twice actually. He's loving the bass.
It was another bizarre GC deal.
I think I liked this view more.
No wonder. Looks killer. A little too squat and wide-necked for my taste but I bet it's a tonemonster! Sweet lookin' Zon peeking out on the right, too. I'm in the market for a graphite 6 fretless these days. Might have to look close at Zon. Right now I'm leaning toward another Modulus Q6...
