JUst wondering why my thread. " I did really crappy tonight was closed". It seems like the mods are a little bit more picky here than they are other boards? I didn't flame anyone, so whats up with this.

So this is,,, what,,, 2 threads that have been shut down? Or is going to be?

Don't question a Mod in public, you can PM the Mod if you have a question as to why it was closed.

    Read the rules.

First up, Slick, read the rules:

If you have a disagreement with a moderator (If your thread gets deleted, if you get a warning, etc.), DO NOT take it out on the moderator. Do not even think about publicly complaining about a moderators actions. If you have a problem with a moderator's decisions, email the administration.

That means you take up up via PM with Blackbird, not start a thread about it.

You're not supposed to question moderator decisions in public. Can I suggest you PM Blackbird (I'm guessing it was BB that closed this, I don't think Embellisher has been online today?)

I have no idea and what's more...

One of the TB rules is that you dont openly question the moderators. Contact via PM or email one or all of the mods in the relevant forum and ask them. If you are still disatified, contact Paul the same way.

You might want to delete this thead before it's closed down.

Whoah-feeding frenzy, there were no replies when I started typing. Also I like Will so the thread starter must be wrong.

    And the other one.

    You know.

The one that looks just like this. Same title. Just no posts. No need for two of the same thread about you whining, now is there.

Looks like this one will follow a similar fate. Blackbird runs a tight but fair ship and we like it that way. Never ever question a Moderator in public.

You question them and they shave your legs and arms while sleeping. I learned the hard way !

Wow, thanks for the vote of confidence, Chris and Mike.
    Too late.

And for the record, since I was questioned publicly, I'll answer publicly.

Here's the body text of the thread in question copied for everyone's convenience (red fonts added by me):

You're not asking for opinions or help. This thread is about you and the best response we can give you is "ok" or "so what?"

This might sound like a crazy idea, but I'd like the threads in this forum to be entertaining, informative or stumulating in a positive way. The first response your thread got was

and believe me, it would only go downhill from there. I was doing you a favor.

I don't want to discourage your participation, but make sure that you're posting something for reasons other than seeing your name on the screen. (Like this thread)

One last thing: For future reference, any questions regarding Mods' decisions should be made via Private Message, something very clearly stated in the forum rules. We're not Mensa here, but people tend to have a higher regard for people who show they can adhere to simple rules.

And that's the end of that.
