Ok, so I'm normally broke--a professional writer with a little boy and hardly any time to play. But today, my wedding is nine weeks away, I'm way behind on paying for it, and these things keep happening: Heah: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2546659623&category=4713 And Heyah: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2546201034&category=4713 And ovah hyah: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2544134624&category=4713 That last one had nothing to do with the bass being "lost or broken." Guitar Center got a bid on it on their own auction site, and cancelled the eBay proceedings. That's an Alembic Series 2, with case, for 20% of the price of a new one. Now before I go freak out completely, somebody tell me, please, does the universe have a really nasty sense of humor or did I make a huge mistake in going into a low-paying job I can actually tolerate? Why don't these beauties come along on the rare occasions when I can actually spend money? KFS
Yep. Opening bid of $699, with no reserve. Two days from now, that pawnbroker's gonna check his auctions and $h!t his pants. KFS
Every stinkin time i have money i cant find a bass i want to up-grade too,and whenever i dont have money there are a million and one basses that i would buy in a heart-beat. Its the way of the world, ever hear of Murphy's law ? it was modeled after my life,"anything that can possibly go wrong at any given time can and will". Like they say shiznit happens,"pray for the best, and expect the worst"
how about the 5.0 chasing you down and pulling a Rodney King on you, thats one thing i can think of LOL !!!!!
Are you gonna have an affair with a bass before you get married? BTW IMHO that Alembic would have looked busted when it was brand new.
