will a cheap eq pedal cause hiss/noise?

    I know i would like to get a pedal for eq. will the rocktek bass eq (or other cheap eq pedal) cause noise/hiss to come out of my cab?

    If you turn up the higher frequencies too much, then yes.

    i mainly want to use it for mids along w/ a sabddi. i know the prog. tech 21 has mids but they are very costly plus i like more than three bands.

    The programmable BassDriver doesn't have a mid knob, if that's what you mean. it has the same Bass/Treble settings as the old BassDriver.
    Now, it allows a medium boost. Just cut a bit on the treble knob.
    For what you want to do, a parametric or semi parametric would work much better. A Yamaha NE-1 would be perfect.

    i was talking about the new three channel programmable version of the sans amp. I like to have the sliders so i can adjust them individually one at a time. To me it makes a big difference when you can adjust each frequency individually.
