will an american std bridge fit a sting or paisley properly?

  1. anyone know about this?

  2. I believe for an AM Std bridge to fit on a Sting bass some drilling needs to be done for screw holes.
The bridge on the Sting bass seem not to be in the same position as the AM standard.

go to www.fender.com and click on the pics of the sting bass and the American std and you will see a different position of the screws.

  3. they both have 3 screws that attatch to the body and the other 4 holes are for string thru. string spacing seems close.??

  4. Actually now that i take a closer look it might work, i dunno...lol sorry i guess i was no help.

  5. who knows , you may still be right, something may not line up. ive heard guys use the deluxe bridge to replace the 2 saddle type found on like 51-54 rip's........thanks anyho
