Will Ernie Ball Strap Buttons Work With Dunlop Strap Locks?

Hey all, just a simple question as asked in the title. I have a bass coming my way with Ernie Ball strap buttons installed for the Ernie Ball strap lock system. All of my main basses and straps have Dunlop strap lock systems installed. I'd like to keep using my straps with Dunlop strap locks. I know the Ernie Ball system is very similar to the Dunlop systems (as opposed to the Schaller system).

I've searched the Internet and can't find a straight answer. Will the Dunlop strap locks work with the Ernie Ball strap buttons or do I need to switch out the strap buttons to Dunlop?
