Will this be uselss

    lets say that a good bass amp company went out of busniess, i want to replace there speakers in my cab can i use another companys speakers?

    As long as the specs match, there is no reason that you couldn't use a different brand of speaker. However, you shouldn't expect the cabinet to sound exactly the same.
  3. Chances are, the company didn't make the speaker anyway. Get in touch with Emenence and tell them what brand and model of amp and speaker size. They probably have and exact replacement.
  4. Hell, Eminence probably made the speakers in the first place!

  5. There are places that will re-cone your speakers for about 1/2 what it costs to replace them. Reconing has advantages:

    1) 1/2 the cost of new speakers
    2) Close to, if not exactly, the same sound you had before

    Do a simple speaker reconing search on the net and you'll find lots of places.

    But.... if you want a different sound or more power handling, different speaks might be your best bet.
