Will this head and cabinet work?

I plan on getting a Ampeg cabinet. It has two 10" speaker and is 200W rms and 400w program. my first question is, what is watt program? does that mean each speaker puts out 200w each? I plan on getting a behringer ultrabass BX3000T head. It produces 300w at 4 ohms. I wanted to know if it is ok to match this head and cabinet together. Any other advice is appreciated

Always ignor claimes of "program power rating". The continuous power rating is what counts. Basically it means you can feed 200w into the cab all day and the cab can handle it. It can also handle the occasional short spike up to 400w, but only if it's occasional and only if it's short.

How many ohms is the cab? I'm guessing it's 8 because most cabs are. That head will produce 300w at 4 ohms so at 8 ohms it will pumps roughly 220w. So this head and cab should work ok together.

If it's a 4 ohm cab, you'll be pumping 300w into it. Again it should still work but you'd have to be more careful.

Let us know how that head sounds. I'm curious.
