will this mess up anything

  1. today i took my friends over drive for guitar to try it on my bass. i was wondering if this can mess up my amp or if the bass will break the pedal. thanx
  2. if you crank the overdrive up too fat it will sound crap !

but if you keep the knobs in mind, won't give any problemd.. i'm working with a guitar overdrive too. :)
  3. It shouldn't damage either, the pedal could overload but that's the worse that I can think of happening. Actually guitar overdrives will saturate and clip off lows further with a bass' signal when driven harder. This can be cool because usually it results in a fuzz effect but with most it wont give you a warm, deep crunchy overdrive.
