It's Weldwood Resorcinol Glue. Going to use it on cocobolo that was recently identified here on talk bass. Just wanted to make sure this stuff will do the trick.
Look, I'm guessing it would, but it seems like total overkill to me. Why do you need something so heavy duty? Titebond or titebond2-3 would be more than enough and much easier to work with.
I'd echo that. With Cocobolo and other oily woods, you might want to do a quick sanding on the mating surfaces and wipe it with acetone before gluing and clamping, but it shouldn't be a problem. Plastic Resin glue like Weldwood is more for bent laminations where rigidity and creep are factors. I'd save it for something else and just use TB3.
Seems like a very super glue, that has been mostly replaced by epoxy - at least as far as wikipedia says. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resorcinol_glue
