  2. Only a 300 watt power handling, not gonna work with any of my amps. Why would one want to switch between speakers for bass? Also why would one want to use an 18" speaker?

It doesn't appear to be designed for professional stage/sound use; more like home or audio store "soundroom" use. I doubt it would stand up to most bass power sources.

    One man's opinion :D

    No prob..

it did say 300 watts...but for got thats
    fetus watts for bass..lol

    @ other guy...

just the thought to switch between speakers..would kind of cool..

you dont have to use the same speaker for every song..

  5. That equates to bringing two rigs for one show. Each set up has to be loud enough to be useable. I would still be pushing more than 300 watts to any single cab. I prefer to use a cab that works with effects to change the tone, not swapping speakers to do so.

Wow, Acoustic Research is still around? I used to listen to many of their speakers back in the early '70s, and I think I have a pair of AR-2s or 3s in my storage den.

Applying guitar "logic" to bass almost always leads to failure. On many levels...

    not doing that at all...

asking if turning on and off speakers is cool...

if you go into a studio and able to audition speakers in real time....I am not good at science..

but doesn't that save you money!
