It seems like I've tried many pickups over the years. I've haven't tried the Wilson. It is probably the most expensive one so far. With all the options around, I'm wondering if this is about as good as it
gets. I realize its very subjective but I'm just
looking to see if people have been having good luck
with the Wilsons. Please let me know. Thanks!

The Wilson is a great sounding pickup, provided you use a good impedence matching pre-amp. It is a little more "electric" sounding than a lot of pickups out there. Good feedback resistance, and sounds pretty good with the bow. You could probably get two or three K&K pickups for the same price, and the K&K just might sound the same or better!:) Ask Bob!

I was to understand these pickups to be very
    happening. I can't believe more people haven't
used the Wilson. Or perhaps I'm just not getting
the responses. My plan is to use the Wilson for
the "close mic" effect, and use the Gage pickup
for the thump and boom. At least thats my plan.
